  • Reported Injections of 75 Bcf Are On The High Side Of The Range Of Market Expectations

    EIA reported net injections into storage totaled 75 Bcf for a total working gas in storage of 2,444 Bcf as of May 19, 2017. Estimates of net injections to working natural gas storage ranged from 65 Bcf to 72 Bcf.

  • EIA Weekly Storage Number Close To Consensus

    The U.S. Energy Information Administration said in its weekly report that natural gas storage in the U.S. rose by 74 Bcf in the week ended April 21. Reuters survey of 18 traders and analysts pegged the average at +72 Bcf, with a range between 62 Bcf and 91 Bcf.

    Data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration reported a 54 billion cubic feet addition to natural gas storage inventories in their weekly storage report for the week to April 14th.

  • EIA Reported Storage Build Was Right On Target With Market Expectations

    US natural gas inventories were at 2061 Bcf for the week ending April 7, 2017. The EIA estimates that US natural gas inventories will be 3861 Bcf by the end of Injection season – October 2017.

  • EIA Storage Report Comes In Lower Than Estimates

    Thursday’s storage report from the Energy Information Administration outlined a bullish net 2 Bcf injection to stocks for the week ended March 31, a typical amount for the final week of the withdrawal season.  Total working gas stocks were brought to 2,051 Bcf, or 427 Bcf below the year-ago level and 265 Bcf above the five-year average.  Market consensus had been a 7-10 Bcf injection.

  • EIA Reported 43 Billion Cubic Feet Storage Withdrwal

    The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) reported Thursday morning that U.S. natural gas stocks decreased by 43 billion cubic feet for the week ending March 24. The amount was in-line with expectations. The withdrawal was also the most since 2014 for the last week of March. Storage operators typically switch from withdrawing from storage to injecting into storage on April 1.
